Historians claim that not only did Adolf Hitler have one testicle; the leader of Germany’s Nazi Party had a really tiny penis as a result of a medical condition.

Historians Jonathan Mayo and Emma Craigie claim Hitler suffered from not only an undescended testicle but also from penile hypospadias.

“Hitler himself is believed to have had two forms of genital abnormality: an undescended testicle and a rare condition called penile hypospadias in which the urethra opens on the underside of the penis,” the historians wrote in their new book Hitler’s Last Day: Minute by Minute.

The new findings come two months after German historian Peter Fleischmann reviewed Hitler’s prison medical records when the Nazi leader was incarcerated following a coup attempt 10 years before he came to power.

Fleischmann, who heads the Bavarian state archives in Nuremberg, said in December a review of newly published prison records revealed a doctor who examined Hitler on his arrival in Landsberg recorded that the Nazi leader was “healthy, strong” but suffered from an undescended right testicle, also known as unilateral cryptorchidism. The congenital condition can increase the chances of infertility.

Fleischmann’s findings may have also confirmed some truth behind the song British troops were rumoured to have sung during the Second World War dubbed Hitler Has Only Got One Ball.

In Canada and the U.S. one in every 300 males are born with hypospadias.
